Currently Craving: Floral on Floral
In anticipation of the upcoming spring 2012 season, I often find myself constantly revisiting the trends from the S/S 2012 collections to see what trends I can lust over. My current obsession? That would have to be wearing floral on floral. Yes, head to toe floral is one of the go-to looks to wear this spring. This look has been seen all over the S/S and Resort 2012 collections including Celine, J.Crew and Suno. The head to toe floral look has also been spotted on fashion bloggers including Karen Blanchard of Where Did U Get That? as well as from Rachel Nguyen from That’s Chic, who both showed us how to rock the trend from runway to real way. Full floral outfits in budget friendly prices have also been spotted in popular fast fashion retailers like Zara, ASOS and Topshop.

Currently Craving: Southwestern Prints
One of our favorite trends that we’re looking forward to wearing this season are southwestern prints. Southwestern prints have been seen all over the runways last season, one of my particular favorites was Proenza Schouler who mastered the look in their Fall 2011 collection with their southwestern print inspired frocks. As per usual, celebrities are already ahead of the game wearing the trend adorned on chic sweaters, skirts, scarves, ponchos and boots. Are you feeling this trend? Currently Craving: Fashionable Backpacks
Whether you like to admit it or not, the fashion world can often be a place that operates in cycles — and quite frequently if I must add. Trends that were the “it” thing in the past, seem to at some point resurface with a new twist. The latest example in that very notion? The backpack. Yeah, most of us haven’t honestly worn one since grade school, but if you’re trying to be one of the cool kids this season, you might want to strap one on. In the effort to limit the appearance of coming off rather juvenile, designers have made backpacks fashionable by offering them in a wide array of textures, styles and colors. Currently Craving: Pretty Pleats
When one thinks of pleats I’m sure thoughts of Catholic school and not so chic school uniforms come to mind –well, at least for me anyway. However, my outlook on this simple yet classic detail has done a complete 180 turnaround, as a modernized version of this look has seemed to reached the masses. As per usual, personal style bloggers, fashion designers and style mavens alike have their fingers right on the pulse of this trend, wearing the look in an array of cuts, fabrics, colors and lengths. Pleats are a guaranteed way to give your outfits this spring/summer that added touch of femininity with a hint of sass mixed in.
