When one thinks of pleats I’m sure thoughts of Catholic school and not so chic school uniforms come to mind –well, at least for me anyway. However, my outlook on this simple yet classic detail has done a complete 180 turnaround, as a modernized version of this look has seemed to reached the masses. As per usual, personal style bloggers, fashion designers and style mavens alike have their fingers right on the pulse of this trend, wearing the look in an array of cuts, fabrics, colors and lengths. For the upcoming spring/summer 2011 season, there is simply no escaping the 70′s glamour trend that continues to reinvent itself both on the runway and the streets. One of my current favorite looks that has resurfaced with a fresh appeal is the 70′s style floppy hat.
