Hey lovelies! I’m back! I apologize in advance for my absence from the blog! School has been seriously occupying 99.5% of all my time and energy! But thankfully, the semester is finally over as of today and I have a chance to breathe for a bit before spring semester begins in January and of course, New York Fashion Week in February! Eek! It always sneaks up on us so fast! Right?

As one who enjoys shopping for vintage pieces, it was a joy to receive the mini book, The Little Guide to Vintage Shopping by vintage veteran, Melody Fortier. If you think you know anything about vintage shopping, prepare to be proved wrong after reading this gem. The book is no larger than a CD cover but it packs a lot of information into its 192 pages and nine chapters.  The Little Guide to Vintage Shopping touches on everything you need to know about buying vintage from: ensuring the proper fit and the right silhouette,  distinguishing time period/eras and evaluating quality,  bringing vintage pieces back to life through reconstruction and alterations, how to properly clean, care for and store your vintage items and of course she had to include some of the best vintage shops throughout the country. This was definitely a wonderful read and any existing vintage lover (or new vintage lover) should have this book in your collection!
