Micha Design, an eclectic and eco-friendly jewelry brand that uses recycled treasures for its designs was founded in 2006 by Micha Kuechenhoff, a German native. Using recycled metals, vintage pearls and more Micha creates unique and funky designs that can take any outfit from work to play. EM & Co a trendy W. 3rd boutique in Los Angeles hosted a launch event on Thursday evening for their new idea that features emerging local designers and artists. Every month the boutique will feature three new designers – two clothing and one jewelry – in an effort to support the local economy and showcase eco-friendly and innovative designers.

For the month of April, EM & Co will feature  Sita, EcoSkin and Micha Design – all eco-friendly designers who believe in recycling and giving back to the earth in all that they do. Their designs were all about comfort, practicality and sophistication. ICON was able to view, touch and even dress-up in some of the designs and got an interview with each designer. Also on hand was Rhea Vittal, a talented lady who hand-paints silk scarves using the French technique of serti and will be partnering with Sita on future projects.

As drinks flowed and people mingled, tunes were spun by DJ Tessa, and everyone got a chance to meet with the designers and preview the installation that will be there for the month. Stay tuned all week as ICON posts the interviews with the four designers mentioned above. I learned a lot about eco-friendly fashion and was happy to be in the company of such creative souls.

‘Luv AJ’ Spring 2011 Jewelry Collection | as presented by elysewalker.com

Ultra chic shopping website, elysewalker.com is offering an exclusive full preview of  the Spring 2011 collection from emerging jewelry brand, Luv AJ in the form of online trunk show from now until March 4th (viewable on the website). Olivia Palermo is the face for Tibi‘s new ad campaign for the Spring/Summer 2011 season! The shoot was styled by Olivia herself with some assistance by Amy Smilovic.  Olivia looks amazing in the ads dressed in everything from prints, sheer, and maxi skirts just to name few! Behind the scenes photographs were also released from the campaign. Enjoy!
