Pure Artistry: Carine Brancowitz

Carine Brancowitz is a French based illustrator, whom I recently came across — and I’m glad I did. She does amazing work! At the age of 16, she moved to Paris to study illustration at the Paris school of arts, Ecole Estienne. She began her career in 1996 as the Junior Art Director at a Parisian communications agency specializing in fashion and trends. Brancowitz’s illustration technique is carefully and beautifully mastered through the use of ballpoint pen. Tres chic!

Pure Artistry: Violetta E.
Violetta E. is a familiar face on Lookbook.nu, but did you know she’s an artist too? Her paintings and drawings evoke a grunge, gothic aesthetic, much like her fashion sense.
