The 67th Annual Golden Globes Awards, Red Carpet Fashion

The red carpet for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards was pretty underwhelming this year as far as jaw dropping red carpet gowns but I still managed to have a few favorites. The main trends that I noticed from the Hollywood fashionistas were layers of ruffles, shimmer and shine and one shoulder dresses. Typical awards show details. Who were my favorite looks, you might say? I would say Chloe Sevigny, Emily Blunt, Drew Barrymore, Anna Paquin and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Who were your red carpet favorites?

The 2009 ELLE Style Awards took place last night in London and were hosted by British TV star and former fashion model,  Alexa Chung. There was quite an eclectic mix on the red carpet, as it usually is for these awards. Alexandra Burke, Sienna Miller and Frida Pinto were my favorite looks on the red carpet. Other notables on the red carpet included: designers Matthew Williamson, Christopher Kane, Peter Pilotto, Gareth Pugh and Viktor & Rolf ; socialites Pixie Geldof and Alice Dellal ; models Karolina Kurkova and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The ELLE Style Awards are held annually and the winners are voted on solely by ELLE readers. This year’s winners included: Courtney Love who won Woman of The Year, Frida Pinto won Actress of the Year, Erdem won the Fashion Future Award, Christopher Kane was British Designer of the Year and Sienna Miller won the biggest honor of the night, ELLE Style Icon.
