The Juice: Former Supermodel Twiggy Launches Line with HSN

T W I G G Y.

“Before I was discovered, I wanted to be a dress designer,” Twiggy recalled. “I never planned to be a model. It was like a distant dream, but I thought I was much too thin, and much too small and too shy. Then fate took a hand and changed all that, but the obsession with designing and making clothes was always within me.”

Twiggy is the latest fashion icon to launch an exclusive line with a home shopping channel.  The former supermodel will be launching Twiggy London, a brand new lifestyle collection on HSN. She follows in the footsteps of other fashion notables including: Iman, Badgley Mischka and Naeem Khan – who have also created successful HSN based brands. Twiggy’s exclusive line will primarily consist of: clothing, footwear and accessories focused around her style and her life. The collection is set to go live on the air on April 3rd. Make sure you tune in!

The Juice: Narciso Rodriguez Opening First Online Boutique with Ebay

Narciso Rodriguez is the latest fashion designer to venture into an e-commerce site by launching his own exclusive online boutique through, ebay. The lower priced, more accessible eight piece collection will be available online beginning February 15th. Sadly, there isn’t too much variety with this collection which consists primarily of jersey knit dresses, a denim dress and reversible coat but at least they will be affordable. You can’t beat that right?

I’m saving my coins now for next month! Hopefully I can score a piece or two — especially the red and blush colored knit dresses which are amazing! [featured in the last image] Do you love?

Major Bite: H&M The Garden Collection // Spring 2010

H&M found itself in the fashion news roundup twice this week.  Negative news — Reports came out that they trash unsold merchandise [read the updated story via fashion week daily] causing quite an uproar with fans of the retailer and the like. But, H&M quickly abolished  those accusations stating the merchandise that the NY Times discovered was already damaged and unable to be sold. Aha! Case closed?

Now onto on the positive and more fashionable side of things, H&M still managed to muster quite the buzz surrounding their new ‘Garden Collection’ — get this, made of recycled and organic materials. Oh, the irony..it’s too much! Nevertheless, the spring collection is simply divine and it lives up to its inspiration. Can I please have one of every dress? Especially the red rosette mini dress — which seems to be a popular favorite thus far! What are you thoughts darlings? Do you love?

Read more about H&M’s spring 2010 collection via their official press release:

Romantic, exotic, glamorous or abstract: this spring’s floral patterns provide an injection of creativity and a love of fashion into your wardrobe. The floral looks are inspired by chlorophyll-green gardens, sundrenched landscapes and even 70s hippie chic flower-power. The romantic garden collection is made using organic and recycled materials. All the garments have been produced using sustainable materials or using recycled PET bottles or textile waste.

This spring’s bright and flowery fashions can update and rejuvenate your wardrobe and offer a modern, sustainable look whatever your personal style. The collection includes a feminine chiffon dress made from recycled polyester with a colourful garden print, a pinafore dress in organic cotton with romantic roses and a smock dress in organic cotton with an ethnic floral pattern. An organic cotton top in a small floral design or a frilly chiffon top made from recycled polyester can be combined with cropped trousers or shorts in organic cotton and/or linen. A beige anorak can be worn over a floral jumpsuit, both of which come in tencel.
