Hey lovies! The countdown is officially on. New York Fashion Week – Fall 2011 is about 10 days away! Are you excited? Are you ready? The Fashion For Breakfast team will be in attendance all week covering shows, presentations, events and the like and we can’t wait! Now the hardest part is figuring out what to wear. When it comes to Fashion Week, you undoubtedly have to pull out all the bells & whistles and wear your best pieces. Hey lovies! It’s that time again for my Muse Mashup – where I feature the best of the best in style innovators! For months I’ve been endlessly wondering who is this stylish woman with the shades and perfect red colored pout that I see all over the street style websites.  I finally found out that this mysterious blond beauty is Joanna Hillman, the Senior Fashion market Editor at Harper’s Bazaar US.  Joanna has simply mastered the art of layering textures and mixing color combinations like I’ve never seen before. Her stylish offerings are on my radar heavy.

I know I just posted Anna Dello Russo on the blog a few days ago but I can’t help but post all of this woman’s fabulousity. [yes-- I had to pull that word out of the "fashion cliche" archives just for her] I’m sure that I’m not the only one that is simply enjoying all of these personal invitations of behind-the-scenes looks into some of our favorite fashion elite’s homes. I’m still lusting over Coco Rocha’s beautifully decorated apartment. Anywho, the ever-brilliant W Magazine took us into the magical land of Anna Dello Russo’s closet for their November issue. But get this — Anna’s closet is the size of an apartment. Yes, the VOGUE Nippon Fashion Director has two separate adjacent one bedroom apartments — one in which she lives and one that solely houses her designer clothing and shoes. How utterly amazing is that? Anna, can you please adopt me?

For this current Spring/Summer 2010 season, I’m shifting my focus from the more bright and bold colors to the more soft and neutral color palette. Blush colored blazers, shirts, skirts etc. have been on my radar as of late as it also appears to be with fellow fashion bloggers – Raez from Cheap Thrills & Karla from Karla’s Closet. Love it !
