It’s been confirmed that the illustriously fabulous supermodel Liya Kebede was approached by J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons and will be appearing in the April edition of the brand’s catalog. This would make Liya the first model of color to be the leading face of the catalog. Major. But the good news doesn’t just stop there. Liya has also partnered with J.Crew’s children’s Crewcuts line which will pick up pieces from the model’s handmade children’s clothing line, Lemlem. Lemlem (which means “to bloom”) was launched back in 2007 and all of the pieces are handmade from natural cotton in her native  country of Ethiopia. The line will be available at Crewcuts store locations and at jcrew.com beginning in April as well. Congrats to Liya!
