Carin Wester has worked as a womenswear designer for Paul & Friends for eight seasons before launching her own eponymous label in 2003. In 2004, Carin was awarded “Newcomer of the Year” by Swedish Elle. The first set of ad pictures released from Miu Miu’s Spring collection featuring Katie Holmes didn’t impress me initially. It was a little too stiff and bland for my taste (as far as ad campaigns go). But, the second batch of ads that surfaced have changed my perception. I’m wondering why these weren’t released first. At any rate, in them, we see Katie will a little more life and facial expressions. I get an almost sinister type of fashion monster vibe from these ads — and I love it.  Is just me?
