The Juice: Former Supermodel Twiggy Launches Line with HSN

T W I G G Y.
“Before I was discovered, I wanted to be a dress designer,” Twiggy recalled. “I never planned to be a model. It was like a distant dream, but I thought I was much too thin, and much too small and too shy. Then fate took a hand and changed all that, but the obsession with designing and making clothes was always within me.”
Twiggy is the latest fashion icon to launch an exclusive line with a home shopping channel. The former supermodel will be launching Twiggy London, a brand new lifestyle collection on HSN. She follows in the footsteps of other fashion notables including: Iman, Badgley Mischka and Naeem Khan – who have also created successful HSN based brands. Twiggy’s exclusive line will primarily consist of: clothing, footwear and accessories focused around her style and her life. The collection is set to go live on the air on April 3rd. Make sure you tune in!
Major Bite: Giuseppe Zanotti Launches New E-Boutique

The shoe gods are clearly working in my favor today. One of my absolute favorite shoe designers, Giuseppe Zanotti is launching a brand new e-boutique on his official website. The new collection of shoes (as well as handbags and jewelry) are exclusive to the website and ready for purchase.

Zanotti, known for his feminine, embellished designs, has also created a “special requests” section, where customers can order red-carpet models or more exclusive styles seen on celebrities or in magazines. In addition, there is a bridal section, which includes a made-to-order selection. Zanotti’s new line of jewelry, launched during Milan Fashion Week, is also available on the site…
“Last year, our online business was the only one that did not suffer,” said Zanotti, noting it grew 30 percent. Online sales account for 15 percent of the company’s revenues, which last year reached 80 million euros, or $112 million at average exchange for the period.
“It’s a new, dynamic way to distribute and communicate, and it’s also risky, because we produce most of the products even before they are online,” said Zanotti. “However, we’ve seen that customers are more interested in purchasing the very exclusive pieces, the super-special, nonaverage ones.” A flat and a bag from the Web-only collection are priced at $595 and $1,375, respectively. A studded bracelet retails at $350. “We’ve always done jeweled footwear and we translated this knowhow to these new accessories,” said Zanotti, noting the jewelry is made in-house.
